Our Story

The southern Willamette forests are located at the headwaters of the mighty Willamette River. These are the indigenous homelands of the Winefelly Kalapuya and Molalla peoples and are the treaty lands of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde as well the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Today, six rural communities call these western cascade valleys in eastern Lane County home.

What We Do

The SWFC is a grassroots, community-based organization that brings together community members, special interest and industry groups, conservation organizations, and land managers. We work together to find common ground on balanced restoration approaches. Our goal is to increase the pace and scale of restoration, while also bolstering the local economy.

Our collaborative invites all interested stakeholders and public to our meetings to discuss forest management solutions that benefit southern Willamette forests and communities.  See our calendar for upcoming meetings.
